Budget Blastoff
Thirty missions for the space program that duct tape built. Ride the wind, dodge the office, and land soft and upright on the yellow pad — or become confetti. Progress saved as you go.
How to play
Welcome to the space program that duct tape built. Across thirty missions, the job is simple and terrifying: land soft and upright on the yellow pad. Your engine fights gravity, but every burn spends fuel and shoves you sideways, so flying is really a running argument between thrust, drift and a floor that does not forgive. Come in too fast or too crooked and you're confetti.
Controls
- Rotate: Left / Right arrows (or A / D) swing the nose. On a phone, the two spin buttons sit in the bottom-left.
- Thrust: Up arrow, Space or W fires the engine in whatever direction the nose points. On a phone it's the big button in the bottom-right.
- Retry: press R while you're flying (or after a crash) to restart the mission from scratch. There are no lives; crash as often as you like.
Fuel (allegedly)
The gauge up top is your tank, and it only drains while the engine is firing. Run it dry and the label flips to “engines: decorative”. You keep whatever momentum you had, but you can't thrust again. Several missions hand you barely enough fuel to reach the pad, so you top up from coffee cups left around the office (each is a +fuel refill) or let the wind do the work for you.
What the office throws at you
Every mission has a brief and a fresh way to ruin your day. These are the lethal ones. One touch and the rocket bursts into parts (and one very lucky rubber duck):
On your side
Not everything in the building wants you dead. A few things push, bounce or refuel you. Learn to lean on them:
Thirty missions
The missions climb from an empty room to a full circus. Early on it's just you, a wall and the pad; then the hazards arrive and start stacking: stamps over fans over movers, and a couple of missions (including the grand finale) where the landing pad itself rolls away on a parade float while you try to set down on it.
Tap “all missions” any time to open the mission log, replay a cleared one, or jump ahead. Your progress is saved in your browser, so the ✓ ticks stick around, no account needed.
Tips
- Little taps of thrust beat one long burn: feather it down.
- Kill your sideways drift early; it's what tips you over on the pad.
- When in doubt, come in slower than feels necessary.
- Short on fuel? Chart the coffee cups (and the wind) before you launch.
- Against a stamp or spinner, wait out one full cycle and read its rhythm before you commit.
