How to play

Faultline is a 100-level logic campaign played on shifting, fault-lined ground. Each level is a self-contained survey: read the board, slide your markers onto their matching targets, and find the arrangement that solves it.

Tap a marker, then tap along its row or column: it skates until something stops it. Here the wall parks the marker exactly on its matching target — framed, and locked in.

Markers don't inch along a cell at a time — a slide runs until a wall, another marker, or the board's edge halts it. The puzzle is choosing the moves whose stopping points land every marker on a home. Clear a survey to unlock the next; when a line goes wrong, undo and try another — a careful retreat is often the right call.

On the ground

Marker — the piece you slide. Pick it, send it down a row or column, and it keeps going until something blocks it.
Target — the outlined home a matching marker must reach. Land one and it takes a coloured frame; fill every target and the survey is solved.
Wall — solid ground that halts a slide. Walls ride the fault line too, wrapping around when it shifts.
→3
Fault line — the marked row or column that slides a step and wraps every few moves. Its badge counts down to the next shift.
Markers come in six shapes across six colours. One only settles on a target of its own shape and colour — and when a survey sets out two identical markers, they share their targets: either satisfies either home.

The ground won't hold still

Mind the fault line
Every third move — every second deep in the campaign — the marked fault line slides one cell and wraps around, carrying whatever sits on it, walls and markers alike, to the far side. The countdown badge tells you which line goes next and when, so read it before you commit: a marker you parked on the fault line can be swept clean off its target.

A 100-survey campaign

The ground only grows. Early surveys open on a calm 6×6 grid and climb to a crowded 10×10, with more markers, duplicate pairs, and faster faults the deeper you go. Every level is generated to be solvable, and each shows a par — the move count to aim under.

How far you've unlocked and your best time and moves for each survey are saved in your browser, so you can chip away at all 100 over time — no account needed.

Tips

  • Read the whole board before you commit to a first move.
  • Work backwards from where each marker has to end up.
  • Count the fault countdown into your plan — time a slide to arrive after the ground settles.
  • Undo freely; it costs nothing but a moment. Stuck? The hint re-solves the live board and will even tell you when a position is dead.
