Stillpoint III: Glide
A calm symmetry puzzle where one flick sends a stone gliding until the board edge or another stone stops it. Arrange and turn the colored stones to mirror the center seam.
Mirror the center seam
Make the right half of the board reflect the left half. A pair matches only when both spaces hold the same shape and color, with directional shapes facing as mirror images. Matching pairs glow softly. Empty spaces must mirror empty spaces too.
Use stones as movable walls
Unlike Currents, the other stones remain still during a glide. Their positions determine where the moving stone can stop, so a useful blocker may matter even when it is not yet in its mirrored home.
Use the solver and Undo together
Undo restores the previous board and move count, up to the recent history kept for the puzzle. New Stonescreates another verified puzzle at the current difficulty. The sound button toggles the soft turn, glide, and harmony tones.
Let the garden grow
Solving efficiently raises the hidden difficulty level; taking many more moves than the shortest verified route can lower it. Boards grow from four by four to five by four and finally five by six. Quarter stones and up to four colors join gradually. After harmony appears, the next puzzle begins automatically and one garden dot is added, with up to fourteen dots shown.
Tips
- Before flicking, trace the lane all the way to its first blocker.
- Build temporary stopping points when a target cell has no wall behind it.
- Move a blocking stone only after checking which other glides depend on it.
- Use Undo as soon as the Guide says the current position has no path.
- Check orientation last when a stone has reached its mirrored position.
